We made it!

Savvysaurus was a very good flyer. The plane was full of teachers ready to experience something new.

Savvy helped select some costume pieces. He is also very excited now as he is sitting in a huge auditorium full of hundreds of teachers.

Mr Dinosaur! After great decision making and voting, Mr Dinosaur won by just a feather. What feathers?? I think he needs a name. Make a comment to suggest a name then we can vote on that.

A huge increase in comments to our blog

Some Amazing comments have appeared on our blog. I registered on the "comments 4 kids" site and we are now being visited by students from around the world. They are all part of the "Comments 4 Kids" idea and have left some very useful suggestions. Thanks a heap.

What a day

It is always exciting at Normandale. Today was dress-up day for Jasmin! We also had yet another successful 50c fundraiser. Some classes enjoyed the sunshine while learning about cricket. Phew!

Mrs Campbell was working hard this morning

This was the story told by Mrs Campbell when she got back to school today after lunch.

Once upon a time there was a teacher who caught the train into town. She got there early so managed to have a coffee with her husband before she was ushered up to the 17th floor of a very flash building.

The teacher was greeted by some very friendly people who welcomed her into the large board room which had an amazing view of the beautiful Wellington Harbour.

( Mrs Campbell went on .... and on... and on...)
Finally the story ended with a game of Jeopardy. The answer was $300. We had to come up with the question. After lots of great attempts she told us.

"How much money did Mrs Campbell get this morning to bring back to school for offering some ideas and advice on a developing site ! YIPEE!

Savvy 7 made a great list of books that they would like to see in the library from the $300.

Today at Assembly the Savvy 7 Ukulele Orchestra performed. Loved it guys! Great effort and loved your extra touches. Keep up the hard work. When is the next performance?

Today some of the skilled Savvy 7 "Garageband" composers shared their skills with the next group from Room 9. They are quite talented when making music that has many layers. Watch out for some examples to come.

Looking at our Actions!

We have been learning alot about the R's. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair, Repurpose etc.

Today we looked at our actions so see what proportion we do of each R. Interesting findings!

A Brief Visitor

Today as we were writing about every 1o year old having a mobile phone, we had a visitor. Here is a picture of Clinton who is helping with some of our computer issues. He happily showed us his cool iphone and also his ipad which is in the picture. Looking forward to seeing some of the cool things it can do.

Why is it important to learn to swim?

After 2 busy weeks of swimming, we are considering this.
